• Lots of vehicles are made out of Aluminium these days. It's a fantastic material as it's light weight for it's strength making it popular amongst high end manufacturers such as Audi and BMW. However, if you need to stick a temporary magnetic sign to your car, for example as a taxi might or in a sales showroom you will not be able to if the car body panels are made of Aluminium. Adhesives / glues may damage the paintwork or leave unsightly marks and suction cups just won't work either as too much air will get underneath.

After each use, just give them a quick wash under water and allow them to air dry. Simply put a few Gripper Mats™ on the back of the non-permanent magnetic sign and then press firmly onto the car body panel. We recommend covering 50% of the back of the sign in Gripper Mats™. They can be cut to any shape using a pair of scissors if necessary. They should be placed towards the outside edge of the sign and all the way around. When you want to remove the sign simply peel it away from the car slowly. The Gripper Mats™ will leave no marks and cause no damage whatsoever and can be stored in their packaging after a quick clean so they're ready for the next use.

How to calculate how many Gripper Mats™ you need:

Step 1. Work out the area of each sign: Length x Height = Area.

E.g. 40cm x 20cm = 800cm²

Step 2. Divide the area of each sign by 2 = 50% of the area (this is what we recommend as the minimum coverage).

E.g. 800 / 2 = 400cm²

Step 3. Divide the figure in step 2 by the relevant unit measurement of each Gripper Mat.
